The Anime adaptation of ‘The Perfect Prince Loves Me, the Side Character?!’ is set to premiere ahead of schedule on March 15th.
On Saturday, Suiseisha announced that the anime adaptation of Ao Yūki’s manga, “The Perfect Prince Loves Me, His Rival?! (Ateuma Chara no Kuse Shite, Spadali Ōji ni Chōai Sarete Imasu.),” will premiere its debut episode early with English subtitles on Coolmic on March 15. Episode 2 is scheduled to air on April 14, followed by new episodes releasing every Saturday thereafter.

The anime’s synopsis reads:
“In the world of ‘The Perfect Prince Loves Me, the Side Character?!’,
Loneal, a character relegated to the sidelines, finds himself unexpectedly entangled in the romantic tale of Prince Alec and Lily, the main characters.
Reincarnated into this novel’s world, Loneal strives to avoid disrupting their love story. However, much to his surprise, Prince Alec develops feelings for him.
Despite Loneal’s efforts to remain inconspicuous, the prince’s charm and affectionate advances leave him questioning the narrative’s deviation from the original plot. Will Loneal succumb to the prince’s allure, and how will this unexpected twist alter the course of the story?”

Similar to previous AnimeFesta productions, the upcoming anime will offer two versions: a “broadcast” version, which will be censored for television, and a “premium” uncensored version available online. The premium edition is scheduled to be streamed on the AnimeFesta website starting in mid-March, while the broadcast version will debut on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 7.
The manga, initially launched by Yuki on WWWave Corporation’s ComicFesta platform in 2022, is distributed in English by Coolmic under the title “The Perfect Prince Loves Me, His Rival?!”. WWWave Corporation, the owner of ComicFesta, also operates the AnimeFesta anime programming block. AnimeFesta, previously known as Anime Zone and ComicFesta Anime, has adapted over 25 manga into short anime over the past six years, with many featuring adult themes. Notably, AnimeFesta anime typically offers both a censored broadcast version and a premium uncensored version for online distribution.
The most recent AnimeFesta anime adaptation was “Adam’s Sweet Agony” based on Toyo’s manga of the same name. The series premiered on December 8, with Tokyo MX, BS11, YouTube, and Niconico streaming services airing it starting January 7. Coolmic also began streaming an English-subtitled version of the anime on December 26.
