The Yuri anime adaptation of “Whisper Me a Love Song” has unveiled its debut date, along with key visual and theme songs. Fans can anticipate its premiere on April 13th.

The opening theme, “Follow Your Arrows,” for the anime is performed by SSGIRLS, while the ending theme, “Gifty,” is performed by Hana Shimano.

On Friday, the official website for the television anime adaptation of Eku Takeshima’s “Whisper Me a Love Song” (Sasayaku yō ni Koi wo Utau) manga unveiled its debut date set for April 13, along with a fresh key visual. Additionally, the website disclosed that the anime’s band SSGIRLS will be lending their talents for the opening theme titled “Follow Your Arrows,” with Kana Sasakura, who voices Yori Asanagi, providing the vocals. Furthermore, Hana Shimano will be performing the ending theme titled “Gifty.”

The anime is set to make its debut on April 13 within TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation programming block, following a slight delay. The cast includes:

  • Hana Shimano as Himari Kino
  • Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi
  • Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi
  • Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsutsui
  • Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana
  • Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi
  • Reina Ueda as Momoka Satomiya
  • Chika Anzai as Hajime Amasawa
  • Aoi Koga as Miki Mizuguchi

As previously announced, Akira Mano has stepped in as the director, replacing Xin Ya Cai. Animation production is now credited to both Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts, whereas previously, Cloud Hearts alone was credited. Hiroki Uchida is in charge of the series scripts, while Minami Yoshida is responsible for character design. Hiroshi Sasaki and Wataru Maeguchi are composing the music.

Kodansha USA Publishing is handling the English release of the manga, which is available digitally and in print. The first volume is described as follows:

“Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what ‘love’ really means…”

The manga was launched by Takeshima in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine in 2019.
